We had the ultimate grilled cheese with tomato and bacon and was really good. The spinach artichoke dip and lasagna noodle chips is a hit!

Thought it was great. Our server was wonderful and the watermelon martini was excellent. Food came out with little delay---meatball sub with fries (loved them) and my thai chicken flatbread pizza was also a light treat. Will be back and enjoyed the chance to eat outdoors!

Went to Taverna for the first time tonight. A lackluster attempt at a restaurant to say the least. The place looks kinda nice and new, but as you sit there you see it's cheaply built. Service was very slow. We waited a long time to be greeted at the table, and then had to wait a long time for our food once the order was taken. The manager did take care of us on the bill for the slow service. The food itself was bland and overcooked. Seems like my food sat on the plate a while, which is bad since I had to wait so long to get it. My fries were soggy and limp and the oil they were fried in made them taste like the fish from the fish fry they were doing. My meat was overcooked. I could go on, but bottom line we weren't impressed and won't be going back.

Italian name, not that much Italian on the menu This "Grill" is much more like a sports bar. Lots of tall tables and wood chairs, reasonable size bar. Free free popcorn during happy hour, along with a ton of TV's all showing sports. You can get a few Italian dishes and pizza, with a few Italian wines and Stella, natch, but this is in no way an Italian place. Most of the menu has nothing Italian associated with it and what it does is not real Italian, unless you think food you can get at Fazoli's is "italian". Friday night is fish fry time, so expect a crowd of seniors early. Bloody mary was tasty, but basic - olive and pickle only. Beer selections boring mostly. Miller lite chaser, mmmm. Prices are not cheap - i have paid less for more in Minneapolis. By 6 pm you will be waiting for a table Food quality is...mixed. Salad is...generic. Clam chowder very good, if salty. Cod was fine, the batter light and crispy. Skip the au gratin potatoes - straight out of a box - I mean these are college food service bad. All the sides (butter, coleslaw, tarter sauce) are prepackaged for ease of service but it is not attractive service. That type of service is fine at a Culvers or other fast food restaurant, but we dropped $50 for dinner, drinks and tip - cheap. The bread served with the meal? Cold and unappealing. Skip the desert. Very overpriced for the quality Staff is attentive yet somehow distracted. We had dinner, drinks and desert (we were not plate spliting or drinking water - we were paying full freight), and they were clearing plates before we were finished, bringing the bill while we were eating the overpriced bad desert. Overall, a perfectly meh and unexceptional fish fry. Nothing too terrible, but not much really good. There are better options (The Livery, for example has a far far superior fish fry). Honestly felt ripped off by the experience. If it wasn't for the fact that the fish was prepared well and tasted good, this would be a one star review.

Lasagna is excellent...especially with a side of meatballs. Italian beef sandwich is another favorite. Favorite soup is their Tuscan chicken (tomato based broth)...good. Always great service by Lisa!
